Ålesund on Sunnmøre is a 3 hour drive from Feskberja. Here you can hike, ski, admire Ålesund’s Art Nouveau architecture, explore the fjords or simply sit back and enjoy the view. It is no coincidence that Ålesund and Sunnmøre are among the most visited tourist places in Norway.

Many start in the Art Nouveau town when exploring the Geirangerfjord or the snow-capped peaks at Hjørundfjorden and in the Sunnmøre Alps.

Ålesund covers several islands and extends into the Atlantic Ocean. Today, the city is the cultural center of the region, and there are several festivals held annually, including the Høstscena Ålesund theater festival, the Norwegian food festival and the music festival Jugendfest.

Walk up the 418 steps from the City Park up to Fjellstua on the town mountain Aksla. From there you see the whole city, Godøya, Alnes lighthouse and all the way out to the bird mountain on Runde.
